Job summary

Sopra Steria Ltd is seeking an infrastructure support specialist to help maintain secure, business-critical systems. You will work onsite in Hemel Hempstead for 6 months, then transition to the Hampshire area on-site, joining a 24/7 shift-based team focused on incident, problem, change and release management.

The role requires SC and DV clearance eligibility, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure support, system administration or similar technical operations role.
• Awareness of ITIL-based service management processes.
• Ability to work in structured, process-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and managing core IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage and operating systems.
• Managing incidents, problems, requests and changes in an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Investigating and resolving technical issues and contributing to root-cause analysis.
• Monitoring live services to ensure performance against service levels.
• Contributing to infrastructure improvements, testing and release support.
• Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation for day-to-day operations.
