Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in Swindon is seeking a Data Centre Technician to join our 24/7 operations team. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues on servers, storage, and networking equipment, while maintaining SOPs and providing clear documentation to junior staff.

You will participate in planned projects, support on-call rotations, and help ensure high uptime for the world’s largest cloud infrastructure, with safety and security at the forefront of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer networking and troubleshooting across server and network devices.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds and handle hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and escalate as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and security policies are enforced.
