Are you seeking new challenges and opportunities to develop your skills? Midlothian is expanding its clinical capacity across Primary Care to deliver pharmacotherapy services for General Practice.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning primary care team, engaged in delivering various pharmacotherapy activities, including medicines reconciliation and high-risk medicine monitoring. The successful candidate will be an active independent prescriber or supported to become one. The role involves working in general practices and centrally in the medicines reconciliation hub.
We require experienced pharmacists to deliver clinical pharmacy services such as polypharmacy reviews and assessing patient medicines compliance, serving patients at home and in care homes around the county. You will monitor service delivery and report to key stakeholders, including Health and Social Care Partnership clinical leads. The Midlothian Pharmacy service fosters a supportive environment promoting leadership at all levels.
The Primary Care Pharmacy Service is enthusiastic about participating in practice-based research using quality improvement methodologies.
Work-life balance and wellbeing are prioritized. Midlothian offers excellent transport links, including the Borders Railway, making Edinburgh city center just 20 minutes away, and provides access to the Pentland Hills and East Lothian coastline.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires Enhanced PVG Scheme Membership.
