Midlothian is expanding its clinical capacity across Primary Care to support the delivery of a pharmacotherapy service for General Practice.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning primary care team, engaged in delivering various pharmacotherapy activities, including medicines reconciliation and monitoring high-risk medicines. The successful candidate will be an active independent prescriber or supported to become one. You will work in general practices delivering services locally and centrally within our medicines reconciliation hub.
We seek experienced pharmacists to provide clinical pharmacy services such as polypharmacy reviews and medication compliance assessments, serving patients at home and in care homes. You will monitor service delivery and report to stakeholders, including Health and Social Care Partnership clinical leads. Our pharmacy team fosters a supportive environment that promotes leadership at all levels.
The Primary Care Pharmacy Service encourages participation in practice-based research using quality improvement methodologies.
Midlothian offers excellent work-life balance and wellbeing, with local transport links including the Borders Railway, making Edinburgh city centre only 20 minutes away. The area provides access to the Pentland Hills and the East Lothian coastline.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. This role requires Enhanced PVG Scheme Membership.
