Job Description:

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated pharmacist to join our Critical Care and Women/Children pharmacy teams. NHS Fife's Critical Care services include an Intensive Care Unit plus Medical and Surgical High-Dependency Units. NHS Fife Women's and Children's (W+C) services provide care for paediatric, neonatal, obstetric, and gynaecology patients. You will be part of a supportive pharmacy team dedicated to developing services for these patients.

- Our vision is to integrate care across these specialist settings and enhance team resilience in these environments.
As a Specialist Pharmacist, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of prescribing across Critical Care and W+C services. You will contribute to formulary submissions and the review and development of clinical guidelines. Alongside senior and other specialist pharmacists, you will provide clinical pharmacy services and support the strategic and operational development of the pharmacy service at NHS Fife.
Candidates should have relevant post-registration pharmacy practice experience, sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills, and comprehensive IT skills. It is desirable to have a post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy/prescribing sciences or equivalent experience, be an independent prescriber, or be able to complete these within an agreed timescale.
