Job summary

Convergence Group is hiring a 1st Line NOC Engineer in Solihull to deliver frontline telecoms support. You’ll resolve issues, monitor LAN/WAN, and assist with routers, switches and Wi‑Fi APs. This permanent, full‑time role offers a competitive salary and development opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a busy service desk or NOC, solid LAN/WAN knowledge, and a CCNA or equivalent qualificiation. You’ll need clear communication and flexibility to cover shifts 7am–7pm, with occasional

Qualifications

At least 1 year in a busy, customer‑focused service desk or NOC.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies.
CCNA or equivalent networking qualification or experience.
Clear, calm and customer‑focused communication.
Ability to work shifts in Solihull 7am–7pm with weekend rota.

Responsibilities

Resolve technical issues and keep customers updated.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues and assist field engineers with routers, switches and Wi‑Fi APs.
Use SolarWinds and Extreme XIQ to identify problems.
Log incidents on ServiceNow and escalate when needed.
Assist with hardware and vendor management to resolve faults quickly.
