1st Line IT Support Pickerings Hire

  • Full time - 37 ½ hours per week
  • Based at our Head Office in Measham

We design and supply solutions to a diverse customer base including schools needing extra classrooms, commercial businesses needing additional office space and construction sites needing a complex of offices and welfare facilities.

The Role

You will serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues or requiring assistance. The role involves diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software and network problems and escalating more complex issues to higher support tiers when necessary. It requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset and the ability to guide users through troubleshooting steps in a calm and efficient manner. By ensuring quick and effective resolutions 1st Line Support helps maintain smooth day-to-day operations across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of internal software systems
  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries via phone, email or ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software and network issues
  • Log, prioritise and track incidents and service requests accurately
  • Escalate complex problems to senior support staff
  • Provide clear user-friendly guidance and troubleshooting steps
  • Install, configure and maintain end-user devices and applications
  • Follow IT processes, procedures and SLAs to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation of solutions and workflows
  • Contribute to a positive user experience with professional and friendly communication
About You
  • Basic understanding of Windows/IOS operating systems
  • Knowledge of common office applications (e.g. Microsoft 365 email clients)
  • Familiarity with PC hardware components and peripherals
  • Basic of networks (Wi‑Fi, VPN basic troubleshooting)
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation
  • A willingness to learn new skills
