Job description

Job Title: 1st/2nd Line Technical Analyst

Location: Borehamwood (on-site)

Salary: Competitive - based on experience

We're working with a growing managed services provider that's expanding its support team due to continued success and new client wins. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer looking to build on their experience and progress in a fast-paced and tech-focused environment.

About The Role

This is a hands-on, fully on-site role based at the company's Borehamwood office. You'll be responsible for delivering and maintaining clients' IT infrastructure - primarily built on modern Microsoft technologies. While the majority of the work is office-based, occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide 1st/ 2nd line support for client environments
  2. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  3. Escalate tickets when appropriate while maintaining ownership
  4. Support cloud and on-prem infrastructure (MS 365, Azure, Windows Server)
  5. Contribute to project rollouts and system upgrades
  6. Deliver excellent customer service across all touchpoints
Essential Skills & Experience

  1. Minimum 2-3 years in a 1st Line or 2nd Line support
  2. Strong customer service and communication skills
  3. Experience supporting the following:
  4. Microsoft 365
  5. Active Directory
  6. Windows Server 2022
  7. Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Additional Skills (Nice To Have)

  1. Microsoft Intune
  2. Microsoft Azure
  3. Windows Server 2025 (preview/build exposure)
  4. Security platforms such as Barracuda or Mimecast
  5. Basic firewall & networking experience (e.g., SonicWall, UniFi, HPE Aruba)
  6. Exposure to device management and endpoint security
