Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is helping a primary school in Skelmersdale to appoint a Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) for Year 4. The fixed-term, term-time role is part-time and supports two pupils to access the curriculum.

The successful candidate will work with teachers to support learning, behaviour strategies and SEN needs, building relationships with pupils and families. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary-aged children, in a support role.
• Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for two pupils in Year 4 to access learning.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Assist with transitions, trips and school activities.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals to meet needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and implement strategies.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils.
