Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with SEND at a friendly primary school in Prenton, Wirral. The role starts Monday 21st September 2026 and runs full-time until December 2026, with a potential extension.

You will provide consistent support across the school day, helping the pupil access learning, develop confidence and build independence, in close collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.

Qualifications

• Experience with supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
• Patience, nurturing attitude and reliability required.
• Experience with children in a classroom setting is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 SEND support
• Support access to the curriculum
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development
