Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Year 4/5 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support in Bedford. The role starts ASAP and runs on a full-time, Monday-to-Friday basis during the academic year.

You will work closely with the class teacher and support team to help the pupil engage with learning, participate in lessons, and develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour in the school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a school setting.
• Experience supporting children one-to-one is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 4/5
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement, and participation in lessons
• Help promote positive behaviour and encourage confidence and independence
• Build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team
• Adapt activities and provide additional support where required
