Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Year 4 1:1 Teaching Assistant in South Liverpool (L25). The role provides 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil all day, with responsibilities across learning activities and medical support in a long-term, full-time placement.

You'll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents and external professionals to foster independence, confidence and social development in the child. DBS and relevant qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Previous medical experience is essential.
• Experience with primary-aged children is desirable.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and medical guidance.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil throughout the school day.
• Assisting with learning activities and classroom engagement.
• Supporting the child's medical needs in line with school policies.
• Building a positive relationship with the pupil and working with the class teacher, SENCO, parents and external professionals.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
