Job summary

Council of Europe is seeking an Event Logistics Operative to support major events in Strasbourg and Paris, coordinating furniture, equipment, and protocol compliance. You will work with the ITEM Service’s Event Logistics Unit within the Directorate General of Administration in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

The role requires two years of relevant experience in event management, basic sound system knowledge, and a good command of French; English helpful for interactions with member state

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant professional experience in event management.
• Basic technical knowledge of simple sound systems.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Citizen of a Council of Europe member state and eligible for civil service.
• Not be a parent/relative of a serving staff member.
• Under the age of 65 years.
• Capacity to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good knowledge of English for interaction with Permanent Representations.

Responsibilities

• Move, arrange and assemble furniture and equipment for institutional events.
• Ensure compliance with protocol and rules for events.
• Identify event logistics requests and contribute to planning and communication.
• Monitor outsourced handling services and provide protocol-related items as needed.
• Provide on-site support during institutional events, including VIPs.
• Assist with sound equipment installation during peak activity under supervision.
