Axis Communications AB in Sophia-Antipolis seeks a Software Engineer in Video Analytics to develop cutting-edge technologies that analyze video streams and derive high-level information for world-wide products.

You will participate from design to validation and customer feedback, collaborating closely with teammates in Sweden across diverse engineering disciplines. This on-site role offers a dynamic, global R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's degree in CS or related engineering field.
• Proficient in Python and/or C++ in Windows and Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.
• Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.

What you'll do here as a Software Engineer in Video Analytics?

As part of our team and of the global Axis Software Team, you will be developing cutting-edge technologies revolving around analyzing video streams to infer high-level information to build products designed to make the world safer and smarter.

You will write code going into products sold around the world and that can make a difference for our customers. You will be part of all the phases of product-making life from inception to customer feedback.

You will be tightly collaborating with your colleagues in Sweden who boast a variety of skills, including embedded Linux engineers, AI R&D research engineers, validation engineers, front-end developers and of course peer software engineers.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is curious and passionate in the production of high quality, robust and reusable code and who has already built products from design to validation. We'd love to hear that you have/are:

• A bachelor or master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related engineering field - ideally with a focus on imaging or video.
• Proficient in either Python and/or C++, in both Windows and Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.
• Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge in cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software is a big plus.

You need to be fluent in English whilst French and/or Swedish are considered bonus skills. Knowing what Fika means is important, though.
