Axis Communications on the French Riviera is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in Video Analytics to join the Sophia-Antipolis R&D team. You will develop video analytics technologies to build world-class products, collaborating with a diverse, international group of engineers across software domains.

You will contribute from design to validation, writing robust, reusable code for products deployed worldwide. Fluency in English is required; French/Swedish are a bonus.

Qualifications

• A bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field, imaging focus preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ on Windows and Linux.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.
• Experience with Git or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software.

Software Engineer – Video Analytics

Axis is hiring a Software Engineer on the French Riviera, where the Alps meet the sea! What you’ll do here as a Software Engineer in Video Analytics? As part of our team and of the global Axis Software Team, you will be developing cutting-edge technologies revolving around analyzing video streams to infer high-level information to build products designed to make the world safer and smarter. You will write code going into products sold around the world and that can make a difference for our customers. You will be part of all the phases of product-making life from inception to customer feedback. You will be tightly collaborating with your colleagues in Sweden who boast a variety of skills, including embedded Linux engineers, AI R&D research engineers, validation engineers, front-end developers and of course peer software engineers.

• A bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related engineering field — ideally with a focus on imaging or video.


• Proficient in either Python and/or C++, in both Windows and Linux environments.


• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.


• Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.


• Knowledge in cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software is a big plus.

You need to be fluent in English whilst French and/or Swedish are considered bonus skills. Knowing what Fika means is important, though.
