Axis Communications on the French Riviera (Sophia-Antipolis) is hiring a Software Engineer in Video Analytics to help shape the future of analytics software. You will develop insights from video streams to power world‑class products, writing production‑grade code and enabling end‑to‑end delivery.

You will collaborate with international teams, including experts in Sweden, covering embedded Linux, AI R&D, validation, and frontend engineering, from design through validation and deployment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, ideally with focus on imaging or video.
• Proficient in Python and/or C++, in Windows and Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.
• Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge in cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software is a big plus.

Responsabilités

What you'll do here as a Software Engineer in Video Analytics?

As part of our team and of the global Axis Software Team, you will be developing cutting-edge technologies revolving around analyzing video streams to infer high-level information to build products designed to make the world safer and smarter.

You will write code going into products sold around the world and that can make a difference for our customers. You will be part of all the phases of product-making life from inception to customer feedback.

You will be tightly collaborating with your colleagues in Sweden who boast a variety of skills, including embedded Linux engineers, AI R&D research engineers, validation engineers, front-end developers and of course peer software engineers.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

We’d love to hear that you have/are:

• A bachelor or master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related engineering field - ideally with a focus on imaging or video.
• Proficient in either Python and/or C++, in both Windows and Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products.
• Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge in cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software is a big plus.

You need to be fluent in English whilst French and/or Swedish are considered bonus skills. Knowing what Fika means is important, though.
