Pennylane is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Contracts to partner with Sales, Partnerships, Finance and Product across Europe. You will draft, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial and operational agreements, from initial drafting through signature and post-signature follow-up.

In this hands-on role you will build scalable contracting processes, templates and playbooks, advise on EU regulations including e-invoicing, AI Act, data provisions, and help Pennylane grow while protecting

Qualifications

Extensive experience in contract law in a law firm, tech company or SaaS.
Fluent in English; working knowledge of French and German.
Strong expertise in B2B SaaS agreements, including IP, indemnification, liability caps, SLAs and data provisions.
Autonomous and able to manage matters from start to finish.
Experience in multi-jurisdictional environments across France and Europe.
Interest in legal operations and technology; able to structure processes or optimize contract management tools.
A genuine business partner who protects the company while enabling rapid progress.
Rigorous, concise, able to explain complex topics to non-legal teams.

Responsabilités

Draft and negotiate international contracts, including customer, supplier and partner agreements.
Improve contracting processes; contribute to templates, playbooks and tooling.
Provide clear, pragmatic advice to Sales, Partnerships, Finance, Security and Product.
Train non-legal teams and help build a strong legal culture at Pennylane.
Anticipate regulatory impact (EU regulations, AI Act, e-invoicing) on contracts.
