Pennylane is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Contracts to partner with Sales, Partnerships, Security, Finance and Product. You’ll draft, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, from templates to post‑signature follow‑up, with a focus on international contracts and scalable processes.

You will help build a robust contracting function across Europe, balancing legal rigor with business pragmatism and enabling Pennylane's rapid growth in France and beyond.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in contract law, especially IP/IT, technology or SaaS.

Responsabilités

• Draft and negotiate international contracts, focusing on Germany and other jurisdictions outside France.
• Manage contracts with strategic international suppliers.
• Maintain and improve contract templates aligned with regulatory, product and business needs.
• Streamline contracting processes with Sales and Partnerships.
• Improve customer terms and conditions for SMEs across France and Europe.
• Support Sales with contracting and automated quotations.
• Review and negotiate agreements with integrators and resellers.
• Anticipate contractual impact of regulations (e‑invoicing, payment services, EU AI Act).
• Contribute to contract templates and playbooks.
• Structure and improve internal contracting processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Optimize contract management tools (Tomorro, Pivot, Notion).
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, including via AI.
• Provide clear, pragmatic advice to Sales, Partnerships, Finance, Security and Product teams.
• Train non‑legal teams and foster a strong legal culture.
