Pennylane is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Contracts to partner with Sales, Partnerships and Product teams. You will manage international commercial agreements from drafting through signature and post-signature follow-up, while improving processes and legal tooling.

You will help scale our contracting operations across Europe, ensuring compliance with e-invoicing, data and AI-related considerations, and providing pragmatic advice to drive business growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with contract law experience in IP/IT, SaaS or tech.
• Fluent in English; working knowledge of French and German.
• Strong expertise in B2B SaaS agreements including IP, indemnification, liability caps, SLAs.
• Autonomous with end-to-end matter management.
• Experience in multi-jurisdiction across France and Europe.
• Interest in legal operations and contract management tech.
• Genuine business partner, able to move quickly while protecting the company.
• Able to explain complex topics to non-legal audiences.

• Draft, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial and operational agreements.
• Improve contracting processes; contribute to templates, playbooks and tooling.
• Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, Finance, Security and Product teams.
• Train non-legal teams and foster a practical legal culture.
