Job summary

Pennylane is a dynamic fintech company expanding rapidly across Europe. As Senior Legal Counsel, Contracts you will partner with Sales, Partnerships, Security, Finance and Product to draft, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial and operational agreements.

You will help scale contracting processes, contribute to templates and playbooks, and ensure compliance with evolving EU regulations, including e-invoicing and the EU AI Act, while building a strong legal culture across the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive contract law experience in IP/IT, technology or SaaS.
• Multijurisdictional experience across France/Europe.
• Autonomous, pragmatic partner to Sales, Partnerships and Product.
• Strong ability to simplify complex legal topics for non-legal audiences.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial and operational agreements.
• Maintain and improve contract templates and playbooks.
• Advise Sales, Partnerships, Finance, Security and Product teams.
• Structure contracting processes to scale with growth and automation.
• Train non-legal teams and promote a strong legal culture.
