Job summary

GitGuardian in Paris is seeking a senior web software engineer to join the Incidents team. You will own projects end to end, tackle performance challenges, and push AI features into production.

You will mentor peers, review cross-team designs, and participate in on-call deployments as needed. Key focus areas include Python web development, Django/Celery backend, and a strong emphasis on scalable data processing alongside modern frontend (React/TypeScript) components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web software development experience, with a strong Python knowledge.
• Experience with web application development, task orchestration, distributed systems, and managing big data flows.
• Autonomous and proactive, able to drive topics forward and follow through to the last mile.
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical, objective approach to decision making.
• Team player who communicates effectively in English (written or oral).
• AI is part of your daily development workflow and you use tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of projects and features end to end with collab from PM and engineers.
• Investigate, fix and improve performance of the application and backend.
• Bring AI to production in our product and incorporate AI in your workflows.
• Mentor junior developers and propose new conventions or improvements.
• Review design documents across teams and participate in cross-team discussions.
• Take part in on-call support and deployments when on duty.
