Job summary

GitGuardian is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the design and delivery of large-scale, real-time data pipelines. You will collaborate with backend, ML and data teams to redesign architectures for scale and robustness while contributing production code.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with production-grade, large-scale pipelines.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and real-time architectures.
• Extensive production experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or similar analytics databases.
• Ability to contribute production code, not only design.
• Experience redesigning or refactoring existing architectures.
• Strong ownership mindset and end-to-end problem solving.
• Experience mentoring engineers and lifting the team technical level.
• Excellent communication across backend, ML, Data and Product teams.
• Fluent English in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architecture for scalable workflows.
• Build real-time data systems from design through production.
• Be hands-on on the most complex technical challenges.
• Design monitoring, maintenance, and alerting for data pipelines.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate engineering processes across backend, ML, Data and Product teams.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap with Engineering and Product leaders.
