Job summary

GitGuardian, based in Paris, is seeking a senior backend engineer to join the Sources Squad. You will work on a large-scale Django application, focusing on reliability, scalability, and integration with platforms like GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Jira and AWS.

You will own features end-to-end from design to deployment, handle production incidents, and collaborate with Product, Design and Staff Engineer, contributing to high-quality code and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in web development with strong production experience in Python and Django.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean, tested code and good data structures.
• Experience handling production incidents end-to-end: assess impact, communicate, fix, root cause, and prevent recurrence.
• Ability to own a project end-to-end from scoping to deployment and monitoring.
• Autonomy with clear, frequent communication and progress updates.
