GitGuardian in Paris is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join the Incidents team. You will own end-to-end delivery of projects, tackle performance challenges, and bring AI features to production while mentoring teammates.

You will review designs, collaborate across teams, and contribute to on-call duties. The role blends hands-on coding with shaping engineering practices in a fast-growing cybersecurity scale-up.

Formación

• You have at least 5+ years of web software development experience, with a strong Python knowledge.
• You are experienced with web application development, task orchestration, distributed systems, managing big data flows.
• Autonomous and proactive: you drive topics forward, reach out to the right people, and see them through to the last mile, including follow-up and maintenance.
• You have strong analytical skills: you lay out problems clearly, pick the right decision criteria and weigh options against them, with a methodical and objective approach.
• You are a team player, always willing to help your colleagues.
• You are good at communicating your ideas in English, written or oral. You adapt and can stay high level, or deep dive into solutions.
• AI is part of your daily development workflow: you use coding assistants and agents to write, review and validate code, and you keep exploring how they can make you and your team more effective.

Responsabilidades

• Own the delivery of projects and features end to end. You collaborate with your PM and other engineers to come up with efficient and resilient solutions, and you own some of the product decisions.
• Tackle complex engineering problems, with a focus on the performance of our application and backend: you investigate, fix and improve.
• Bring AI to production in our product, and use AI in your own workflows to be more efficient.
• Help to level up the engineering department by reviewing your peers’ code, mentoring more junior developers, and proposing new conventions or ways of doing things.
• Be involved in transverse discussions: review design documents from other teams when they impact your team’s perimeter, and take part in cross-team discussions around our stack and tech decisions.
• Take part in support and deployments when you are on duty.
