GitGuardian in Paris seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead architectural decisions and drive scalable solutions. You will mentor engineers, partner with product managers, and guide performance improvements across Python/Django and Go/Rust stacks.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading technical initiatives and collaborating with multiple teams in a large organization.
• Fluent English is essential for collaboration and external communication.
• Strong background in Python with Django and large monolithic codebases.
• Experience moving monolithic code toward modular architectures and optimizing performance.
• Expertise in web app development, Unix/Linux environments, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in security-focused environments with SOC/ISO compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural decisions, technical strategy, and best practices across the engineering organization.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards and quality.
