Job summary

GitGuardian in Paris, France, seeks a senior security researcher to tackle secrets in the era of agentic AI. You will join the cybersecurity research team, investigate threats, and publish insights while collaborating with engineers to strengthen product security.

You will spend ~70% on research and 30% on content for the security community, presenting at conferences and contributing to open research tracks. Fluent in English required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering with research focus.
• Strong offensive security background (pentesting, vulnerability research, red team).
• Experience with reverse engineering (binary analysis, malware inspection) and API/web security (OAuth, JWT, tokens, secret exposure).
• Comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI/LLM ecosystems.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Rust; fluent with a terminal.
• Able to track complex security problems and define solutions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate novel and existing tactics to find and abuse exposed credentials and publish findings.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve secret validation and coverage.
• Track offensive trends and publish 2–3 technical deep-dives per quarter.
• Present findings at international conferences and publish research.
