Job summary

Rankin County School District in the United States is seeking a Cafeteria Worker to prepare, serve, and maintain attractive, nutritious meals for students while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

You will follow the guidance of the Cafeteria Manager and work as part of a team to support daily meal service, food sanitation, and compliance with district policies; punctuality and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and clean kitchen areas as required.
• Attend training meetings as required
• Report to work at designated time and remain on the job until dismissed by the manager
• Notify the manager by 6:00 a.m. on the day to be missed due to illness
• Maintain pleasant working relations with fellow employees and the community
• Follow safety, sanitation, personal standards and work techniques as instructed by the manager
• Perform duties involved in food preparation, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
• Maintain the trash and garbage area in a neat and sanitary fashion
• Read, understand and abide by district policies and procedures
