Spiko is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to own the groundwork for growth, licensing, and EU market entry. You will report to the Head of Legal & Compliance and be one of the early legal team members, enabling launches on schedule with proper licenses and regulator relations.

You will lead license applications (MiFID/MiCA), manage regulator interactions, oversee cross-border distribution, and support ongoing regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions in the EU.

Qualifications

• Academic background: law university or business school; banking/financial law preferred.
• At least 4 years in fintech or financial institution legal dept or regulatory law firm.
• Experience engaging with French/EU regulators for licenses.
• Expert knowledge of MiFID/MiFIR, MiCA, and AML regulations.
• Versatile scope across jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks.
• Ambitious mindset to help build a growing legal team.
• Excellent communication: native French, professional English.

Responsabilités

• Lead MiFID and MiCA license applications and regulator coordination.
• Manage passporting and regulatory contacts across host countries.
• Support regulatory compliance: procedures, registers, and regulatory reporting.
• Assist Head of Legal on ad-hoc legal/regulatory matters.
