Proteus Professionals in the South of France seeks an experienced Quality Manager, Marine Surveyor, Technical Superintendent, or Refit Project Manager to oversee quality standards on high-value superyacht refit projects. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure work meets the highest yachting standards before final presentation to the Owner’s Team.

Qualifications

• Experience in superyacht refit, yachtbuilding, marine surveying, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of quality control, inspections, snagging, and project redelivery.
• Ability to assess completed works against specifications and quality standards.
• Comfortable challenging project teams and contractors when standards are not met.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication with captains and Owner’s Representatives.

• Identify quality issues, defects, unsuitable methods, and poor protection of finished areas.

• Manage snag lists, open points, and outstanding works ahead of vessel redelivery.
• Ensure inspections, validations, and approvals are properly documented.
• Present completed works to Owner’s Team for formal validation.
• Participate in final redelivery and snagging meetings.
• Collaborate with technical, interior, coating, project, and production departments.
• Help improve quality standards and processes across the shipyard.

Are you an experienced Quality Manager, Marine Surveyor, Technical Superintendent, or Refit Project Manager with a strong background in superyacht refit?

This is an opportunity to join a leading superyacht refit shipyard in the South of France, taking responsibility for quality standards across multiple complex refit projects and ensuring work is ready for final presentation and acceptance by the Owner’s Team.

You will work closely with project, technical, interior, coating, and production teams to identify issues early, improve quality processes, and drive outstanding work through to final closure.

What you will work on

You will support major superyacht refit and repair projects, overseeing the quality of complex works from project start-up through to vessel redelivery.

The role will involve inspecting completed works, identifying deficiencies, managing corrective actions, supporting project teams, and ensuring work meets the expected yachting standard before being presented to the Owner’s Team.

The projects

You will be working across high-value superyacht refit projects, covering a wide range of technical, interior, exterior, coating, and outfitting works.

Projects can involve multiple contractors, specialist trades, project teams, and Owner’s Representatives, so the ability to identify issues early and maintain a consistently high finishing standard will be key.

• Previous experience within superyacht refit, yachtbuilding, marine surveying, technical management, or project management
• Strong understanding of quality control, inspections, snagging, and project redelivery
• Experience assessing completed works against specifications and expected quality standards
• Confidence challenging project teams and contractors where work does not meet the required standard
• Strong technical understanding across yacht refit activities
• Ability to manage corrective actions, open points, and final acceptance
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills when working with project teams, contractors, captains, and Owner’s Representatives
• Comfortable working independently within a busy shipyard environment
• Ability to work on site in the South of France
