Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer on yachts over 50 m or Mechanical Engineer in the naval sector.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and propulsion systems.
• Very good technical knowledge of ship repair.

Technical Supervisor F/M

Reporting to: Technical Office Manager

Travel area: possible travels in the Mediterranean basin and beyond

Remuneration: gross salary depending on experience + TR + Profit-sharing + Benefits

Experience: 3 years minimum

Responsibilities

• The Technical Advisor in the Technical Office supports the choice of the technical solution to the client’s problem.
• Communicates with other departments and certification companies to gather the information needed to draw up the specifications.
• Assists Project Managers in carrying out the work, providing advice and checking conformity, and helps gather the information needed to draw up the technical report.
• Updates technical ship databases.
• Stays abreast of technological developments.
• Passes on knowledge to trainees in the Design Office.

Profile required

• 5 years’ successful experience as Chief Engineer on yachts over 50 m or Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in the naval sector (preferably yachting).
• Good knowledge of onboard systems (mechanical, hydraulic, propulsion, refrigeration, etc.).
• Very good technical knowledge of ship repair.
• Excellent professional English and French (drafting of technical manuals and production of drawings).
• Rigorous, organized and methodical, reliable and imaginative when faced with problems.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills, cooperating effectively with all internal and external players.
• Open-minded and pedagogical in explaining choices and implementation.
• Passionate about boats, wanting to get involved in a ship refit services company.
