IXO seeks contributors to faithfully transcribe Malayalam PDF pages with complex layouts, handwriting, mixed scripts, tables and figures.

You will bound regions, determine reading order, and link data across elements, ensuring accurate, human-authored text. The role requires native Malayalam and script mastery, with a focus on character-level accuracy over speed. Work is remote and the pay is hourly.

Qualifications

• Native Malayalam and script proficiency required.
• Experience in transcription, translation, editing or AI data work preferred, including review.
• Prioritize character-level accuracy over speed.

Responsabilités

• Inspect the supplied page for language, legibility, content and privacy concerns.
• Bound every meaningful region (headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, figures, captions, formulas, questions and answer fields).
• Assign reading-order positions and structure types across columns.
• Link regions to relevant parent figure or table.
• Transcribe text faithfully and flag unreadable passages, not guesswork.
• Record page dimensions, document type, source, language and handwriting or table flags.
• Review another contributor’s page as assigned; undergo a second expert check.
