Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Junior Support Engineer based in France to help maintain the reliability of a global digital testing platform. You will support cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and respond to incidents affecting critical services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent qualifications.
• Foundational IT knowledge and a structured troubleshooting approach.
• Basic incident response knowledge for networks and software infrastructure.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN/VLANs, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Experience with Linux, macOS, Android and iOS operating systems.
• Exposure to command-line tools and Unix-like environments (SSH, SCP, Bash, cURL, Vim, Python terminal tools, ping, tcpdump).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, and Zoom.
• Understanding of service desks, SLAs, escalation procedures, on-call rotations, and agile workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Triage and respond to incident tickets from monitoring systems or customer reports.
• Track tickets through resolution within SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with global sites and data center personnel to troubleshoot hardware and services.
• Investigate disruptions in cloud and on-premises infrastructure and restore service.
• Troubleshoot mobile device hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation for continuous incident response.
• Document troubleshooting steps and update playbooks for team efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge base updates.
