Job summary

Pirelli is seeking an IT Support and Network Administrator to aid both on-site and remote users with day-to-day IT issues. The role includes managing the network infrastructure, servers, and related communication systems, in collaboration with the Group’s headquarters.

You will handle EDI-related projects, the Pirelli ordering portal, and electronic invoicing, while ensuring smooth operation across departments. English fluency is essential for liaison with Milan HQ.

Qualifications

• Bac + 2 qualification and 2–3 years in network/IT support.
• Proficient in Windows workstations/servers and Microsoft 365.
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge (LAN/WAN).
• Experience in project management with stakeholders.
• Fluent in English for communication with Milan HQ.

Job description

Reporting to the Call Centre and Information Systems Manager, you will provide IT support to both on-site and remote users. You will also be responsible for managing the network infrastructure and the various communication systems. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining the hardware and software environment.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and office software.
• Managing the local network, including backups, cabling, patch panels, Wi-Fi access, printers, fax systems and PABX, as well as fixed-line telephony (Cisco/IP) and smartphones.
• Administering servers, including Active Directory, printer settings, account management, network shares, network access rights and quotas, in cooperation with the Group’s headquarters.
• Providing day-to-day assistance and training to users to help them use their workstations effectively.
• Managing B2B customer projects, including EDI, the Pirelli ordering portal and electronic invoicing, as well as supplier projects, such as EDI with our logistics provider.
• Supporting the various departments with the maintenance, development and resolution of incidents relating to existing EDI projects.

Profile

• Bac + 2 qualification and have two to three years of initial experience as a network and IT support technician in a similar position.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Windows environments, both workstations and servers, as well as Microsoft 365 office applications. You also have a good knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including LAN and WAN environments.
• You have experience in project management involving a range of stakeholders, particularly customers.
• You are fluent in English, as the role involves frequent telephone and email communication with the headquarters in Milan.
• You have a strong customer-service mindset and excellent interpersonal skills. You are also organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
