Job summary

Silversea is seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Manager/Butler Manager aboard our luxury cruise ships. You will lead the entire Housekeeping operation, ensuring best-in-class butler and cleaning services across guest suites, public areas and back of house.

The role requires strong people management, budget control, adherence to Public Health standards, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. You will train staff, monitor standards, and collaborate with HR to maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Housekeeping or Butler management on a cruise or luxury hotel.
• Budget and financial management experience in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards and Public Health policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire Housekeeping operation to deliver high quality butler and cleaning services.
• Inspect all ship areas to ensure standards are met and issues are acted upon.
• Lead and coach crew, manage training, and ensure staff development.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and act on feedback to improve service.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
• Manage inventories, costs and PAR stocks; control overtime and hours.
• Prepare cruise reports and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure readiness for Public Health inspections.
