IXO is seeking a skilled medical interpreter to perform remote, asynchronous evaluation work. You will create realistic interpretation scenarios and reference renderings based on clinical intake, treatment discussions, and informed consent conversations.

Pay ranges from $60 to $100 per hour (USD). The engagement is remote, with schedule and scope agreed in advance; no live patient care involved, just evaluation tasks for quality assurance and training.

Qualifications

• CMI, CHI or equivalent medical-interpreter credential.
• At least two years of professional interpreting in medical settings.
• Excellent written English; ability to work asynchronously.
• Availability for at least ten hours per week.

Required experience and preparation

You need CMI, CHI or an equivalent medical-interpreter credential, at least two years of professional interpreting in medical settings, and full professional command of the relevant terminology in both working languages. Clear written English and availability for at least ten hours per week are required.

Preferred experience

Oncology, emergency or consent-setting experience; telephone/video interpreting; sight translation of medical documents.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include interpretation scenarios, reference renderings and supported evaluations. Work is remote and asynchronous. The language pair, task scope and schedule will be agreed with IXO; this is evaluation work rather than live representation or patient care.

Pay is $60 - $100/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
