ixolabs.ai is seeking a specialist to design IXO reading and interpretation passages and questions with defendable answers from the text. You will write reference readings with specific textual evidence for each interpretation.

The role requires an advanced degree in literature or related discipline and at least two years of relevant teaching, research, editorial or published literary work, with strong close-reading and clear written English, and availability for at least ten hours per week.

Your work at IXO

Build IXO reading and interpretation problems whose answers can be defended from the text.

Required experience and preparation

An advanced degree in literature, English or comparative literature or a closely related discipline and at least two years of relevant teaching, research, editorial or published literary work are required. Bring depth in close reading across relevant periods, genres or traditions, clear written English and availability for at least ten hours per week.

Preferred experience

A PhD, peer-reviewed publications, editorial or creative craft experience, or reading knowledge beyond English.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include specialist scenarios, reference analyses, evaluation criteria and evidence-based feedback. The work is remote and asynchronous, with the particular scope and schedule agreed before work.

Pay and engagement

Pay is $55 $105/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
