Compass Group Canada is seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations within a university or college environment. You will direct food production, staff scheduling, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

This role requires French-language work capability, a culinary education, and at least three years in kitchen management. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in culinary or related studies.
• Three years of kitchen management experience.
• Ability to apply trendy food items and presentations.

Responsabilités

• Direct and supervise all aspects of food production and services.
• Be accountable for menu planning, staffing, scheduling, client and customer relationship building.
• Oversee daily operations, including preparation, cooking, presentation and administration of feeding students and staff.
• Oversee food, labour, and overhead costs.
• Liaise for occasional catering events.
• Perform administrative duties: weekly purchase summaries, event scheduling, inventory controls, daily production meetings and records.
• Ensure compliance with Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, WHMIS regulations.
