Job summary

Consensio Chalets Ltd in Les Gets, France, seeks an Assistant Chef for a seasonal role from mid‑November to 28 February. You will support the Head Chef in day‑to‑day kitchen operations, helping with menu prep, stock management and delivering guests an exceptional dining experience across breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner services.

The role requires prior kitchen experience, knowledge of hygiene standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally chalet/private household.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to established recipes and quality standards.
• Assist with menu planning and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently and efficiently.
• Support service periods for timely meals.
• Monitor food quality and report concerns to Head Chef.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Work with Chalet Chef and front-of-house teams.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
