Job summary

Aiven is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) for the EMEA region. You will be the primary technical advocate for large enterprise customers, driving time-to-value and ensuring an excellent customer experience across Open Source services.

You will collaborate with Support, Engineering, Product, and Sales to align technical strategy with customer priorities, and travel up to 10% to meet with clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in Apache Kafka and one of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or OpenSearch.
• Experience in technology sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting.
• Fluency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Linux, networking basics, and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers across the entire journey.
• Develop deep technical understanding of customer priorities and cloud architectures.
• Provide operational advisory and risk management for deployments.
• Coordinate with Sales, Support, Engineering, and Product teams on customer needs.
• Conduct regular incident reviews, advisories, and root-cause analyses.
• Support account planning and pipeline growth strategies.
