Job summary

Aiven seeks a Senior Solutions Architect - AMER to drive adoption of managed open‑source services and help customers succeed from pre‑sales to rollout and beyond. The role emphasizes hands‑on technical leadership across Kafka, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, and more, with travel up to 20% and a West Coast location preference.

Candidates should have strong cloud experience, Linux fluency, and the ability to translate complex tech into business value for buyers.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales or consulting.
• Fluency in programming languages (Java, Python, Go or Ruby).
• Strong ability to translate technical jargon into business value for non-technical buyers.
• Experience implementing proofs of concept with cloud services.
• Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure) and compute/storage networks.

Responsibilities

• Build successful relationships from pre-sales to roll-out and beyond.
• Conduct proofs of concepts to demonstrate value of Aiven services.
• Support customer stability, enablement and growth.
• Contribute to sales process and support existing customers.
• Represent Aiven through blogs, webinars, meetups, and talks.
