The role of an Account Executive is to provide a continuous daily mix of exceptional relationship management, business development, execution services, and risk management to a self-directed portfolio of clients.
These clients will be nurtured through your own network via the multitude of sales and marketing activities made available by CMC Markets. The goal is to maximize client retention and grow CMC’s business through client referrals and networking. CMC Markets is a leader in its industry for premier retail derivatives services.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Develop and initiate a self-directed business strategy to grow retail and institutional trading volumes in relevant CMC offices.
- Leverage your current contacts to generate revenue by promoting CFD / Spread Bet offerings.
- Follow up on prospective leads, explaining USPs to optimize CMC’s marketplace position.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Drive growth through a compelling value proposition.
- Enhance business via client referrals, networking, and industry contacts.
- Manage your own client leads; remuneration based on client activity.
- Attend sales events as required, creating materials with local and regional marketing teams.
- Collaborate with local teams to drive client acquisition, retention, and trading activity.
Account Management
- Provide proactive, high-quality relationship management to your client book.
- Assist team members in understanding CMC USPs and competitors to optimize market positioning.
- Identify and educate clients about our products and services.
- Apply insights to improve our service proposition.
- Own and drive an excellent client experience throughout the client lifecycle, including onboarding, retention, and query management.
- Implement retention plans to maximize the client lifecycle.
- Ensure professional and positive service at all touchpoints.
- Willing to entertain clients in various settings, including evenings and weekends, as part of relationship management.
Product Management
- Be the product and platform expert, capable of demonstrating and educating clients.
- Work with CMC teams to meet client requirements with suitable IT and trading platform solutions.
- Educate clients on platform and trading processes to maximize satisfaction and revenue.
Media
- Provide media commentary, both written and verbal, as needed.
- Deliver insightful market commentary for PR purposes.
Compliance
- Understand and adhere to local and global compliance and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain professional development and regulatory training.
