Our client, a fast-growing and innovative technology company in the hospitality sector, is seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join their expanding Data Science team.

If you have a strong foundation in machine learning and programming—whether your background is in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or any other quantitative discipline—this is an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact.

About the Company

This company provides cutting-edge B2B SaaS solutions designed to help hotel brands increase direct bookings by optimizing the guest booking experience and reclaiming their share of online revenue. With a diverse, international team based in Barcelona and other key locations worldwide, the company combines deep expertise in hospitality, product design, and consumer marketing to deliver pioneering technology that benefits thousands of hotels globally.

The Role

The Data Science team plays a central role in shaping the future of the platform by applying advanced machine learning techniques across multiple domains, including user behavior prediction, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), computer vision, time-series forecasting, and causal inference.

Working with a unique dataset derived from millions of daily user sessions on thousands of hotel websites, the team develops AI-powered products that lead the market in personalization and performance.

Examples of Key Projects

  • Predictive Systems: Machine learning models forecasting user behaviors such as purchase likelihood, price sensitivity, and travel flexibility, enabling personalized experiences through targeted messaging.
  • AI-Driven Web Content Analysis: NLP-based tools analyzing content across numerous hotel websites, combined with extensive behavioral data to provide actionable insights that improve the customer journey.
  • AI-Powered Personalization: Recommendation engines using LLMs to automatically tailor web tools for each property, maximizing the effectiveness of direct booking strategies.

Why Join This Team?

The Data Science team is at the core of the company’s innovation, developing and deploying advanced ML and AI techniques that power high-impact products used daily by clients worldwide. Joining the team means contributing to a fast-paced environment where your work will directly influence key product features affecting millions of travelers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar.
  • 3+ years of industry experience applying machine learning techniques.
  • Proven experience managing data science projects end-to-end, from ideation to implementation and delivery.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with key ML libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch, matplotlib, seaborn, FastAPI).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and resourceful approach.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, ECR).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Comfortable with Linux environments, version control (Git/GitHub), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience handling large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Deep Learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of deploying retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows.
  • Understanding of best practices in production environments including testing, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.

  • A truly international team with 25+ nationalities.
  • Work from a central office in Barcelona.
  • Opportunity to have a real impact on a fast-growing tech company.
