Job Overview

A senior cybersecurity enterprise architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the security architecture of an organization's IT systems and networks. They ensure that the security solutions align with the business goals, risk appetite, and compliance requirements of the organization. They also provide guidance and leadership to the cybersecurity team and other stakeholders on best practices, standards, and policies for security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Expert knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and methodologies, such as NIST, ISO, SABSA, TOGAF, etc.
• Strong technical skills and experience in various security domains, such as identity and access management, network security, cloud security, data security, endpoint security, threat intelligence, etc.
• Ability to design and implement security solutions that are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective, using various technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, IDS/IPS, encryption, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with senior management, business partners, and vendors on security architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Ability to lead and mentor the cybersecurity team and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to conduct security assessments, audits, and reviews, and provide recommendations for improvement and remediation.
• Ability to stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and best practices, and adapt to the changing security landscape.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years of experience in security architecture.
• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the IT or consulting industry.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and business needs.
• Demonstrated digital mindset and agility in learning and applying new tools and platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, data analytics, and automation is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification or proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, or other cloud-based solutions.
