Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona. You will monitor offshore wind assets from a remote operations center, analyze alarms and data, and guide commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable turbine performance.

You will work with site teams and engineering experts, applying SCADA and electrical schematics knowledge, and you may travel up to 20% of the time. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona within EU
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
