Job summary

GE Vernova invites applications for a ROC Technical Lead in Barcelona, to oversee offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center. You will collaborate with sites and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve faults, keeping turbines reliable while improving operations.

You’ll use SCADA and electrical schematics, lead remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine/EM systems in operational environments.
• Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot in field support.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation on weekends/holidays.
