Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona to supervise safe, efficient offshore wind asset performance from a remote hub. You’ll guide commissioning and service, coordinating with site teams and engineering to resolve issues and optimize operations.

Responsibilities include data analysis, fault diagnosis, remote troubleshooting, and clear technical communication. English fluency required; willing to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% within Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%; relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation on weekends/holidays.
