Job summary

AsstrA seeks an experienced Country General Manager to lead its Spain business from Alcobendas, Madrid region. The role focuses on growth, customer development, and market expansion, with a priority on strengthening sales activity and building a solid commercial pipeline.

You will organize local processes, enhance team performance, and drive operational efficiency while coordinating with international teams.

Qualifications

Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport.
Strong commercial background and successful business development.
Experience in managing a team, business unit or country organization.
Ability to develop sales activity and build business from the market.
Understanding of operational processes in logistics.
Experience in managing business results, KPIs and profitability.
Fluent Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the business development strategy for Spain.
Actively drive sales growth and new customer acquisition.
Personally participate in key customer meetings, negotiations and strategic commercial activities.
Strengthen relationships with existing clients and business partners.
Build, manage and develop the local team.
Improve internal processes, cooperation and operational performance.
Monitor business results, KPIs, profitability and market development.
Ensure effective cooperation with AsstrA teams in other countries.
Represent AsstrA on the Spanish logistics market.
