Job summary

JAS Worldwide seeks a Sea Freight Senior Operations Specialist for our Madrid on-site team. You will oversee end-to-end sea freight operations, coordinating bookings with carriers, managing documentation, and ensuring on-time delivery in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

You will drive exception management, optimize routing and cost efficiency, and collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners while supporting process improvements and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to interpret operational data and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Sales capability to support pricing input, customer service, and retention.
• Operations management for coordination of shipments and compliance with regulations.
• Project management to drive process optimization and cross-functional tasks.
• Solid knowledge of sea freight, Incoterms, and international trade rules.
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations, preferably sea freight.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
