Qualifications

• 4+ years Python production experience
• Event-driven, asynchronous architecture
• REST APIs with OpenAPI experience
• Kafka or equivalent streaming
• GenAI-assisted development
• Testing with pytest & contract testing; CI/CD, Linux, Git & containers
• Distributed systems debugging
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Curious learner

Responsibilities

• Build a Python service handling event taxonomy and a durable replayable event log
• Design and maintain interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI
• Create the correlation layer to translate signals into ITSM actions
• Develop resilience mechanisms for degraded vendor platforms
• Support multiple access patterns: fire-and-forget, poll, webhook, stream
• Develop the event type registry and onboarding
• Create GenAI-facing integration surfaces for agents
• Modernise legacy integrations with safe deprecation paths
• Own code quality, tests, observability, and production support
• Engage with squads and customers to define requirements
• Autonomously own components or projects and document key decisions
