Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform with APIs and AI-facing integrations. You will design contract-first interfaces, implement durable event logs, and ensure resilience across distributed ITSM workflows.

You will leverage GenAI-assisted development, apply testing discipline, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with a global team on complex distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production Python experience with typed, tested services and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven and asynchronous architectures, messaging, retries, and idempotency.
• REST API design experience; able to work with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI contracts.
• Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Build Python services handling event taxonomy, durable replayable logs, and ITSM actions.
• Design interfaces with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI and maintain contract-first approach.
• Create resilient workflows: deduplication, correlation, exactly-once processing.
• Lead end-to-end quality: reviews, testing, observability, production support.
